ENGINEERING SERVICE
1. In order to prevent microbes present in discharged water from disrupting the ecosystem, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) established the Ballast Water Management Convention in 2004 which makes it mandatory for ships with a total tonnage of 400t or more to install a ballast water treatment system.
2. This convention concerns standards for ballast water exchanges, treatment, and discharges in international waters, Port State Control (PSC), the installation and inspection of treatment systems, etc.

3D Scan
3D Scan shall be carried out over the whole E/R area including E/R casing.E/R casing outside should be scanned for building the new compartment for scrubber installation.
Basic Engineering includes followings.
1) General 3D Model with structures and major equipment2) Updated arrangement
3) Structure incl. casing and funnel structural enlargement / modification drawings(if necessary)
4) Systems incl. exhaust gas piping scheme / Scrubbing water diagram
5) Electrical and automation incl. single line diagram, electric load balance, short circuit calculation for scrubber panel and new distribution board.
Class approval (1 month)
The approval period is based on that all approval is smoothly passed without delay. If there¡¯s any problem/comments on design especially on structure/strength analysis/Vessel¡¯s stability calculation, the approval period may be delayed and need additional drawing such as lines & offset table etc.Detail Engineering includes followings
1) Material list incl. Cable / Piping / Steel outfitting / Structure etc.2) Pipe /steel outfitting fabrication / Installation drawing
3) Cable/Tray/Coaming installation drawing
